Working with Senior Clients: Family Relations and Issues of Privacy - Securities

This course is a complimentary course valued at $60.

This course is designed to provide registrants and representatives with important knowledge about assisting in helping a senior effectively realize objectives with respect to family, and avoid unnecessary family conflicts; or mitigate those that do arise with the aid of a well-considered financial plan. This course also helps representatives educate the clients about the laws that limit their testamentary freedom and assist in safeguarding the interests of the client’s family.

At the end of the course the Advisor would be able to:

  • Synthesize a client’s unique family relationships and the applicable governing laws to provide optimal recommendations for senior clients
  • Establish a process to conduct a meaningful client discovery that will uncover the senior client’s estate planning objectives and wishes for advance-care
  • Distinguish the signs of elder abuse with senior clients and apply best practices to prevent abuse while maintaining the client’s privacy as required by privacy regulations
